Is Texas SBASM the same as the SBA?

No. SBA is the acronym for the United States Small Business Administration, a federal agency providing support services to small businesses throughout the entire United States of America, Puerto Rico, the U. S. Virgin Islands and Guam. On the other hand, Texas SBASM, the Texas Small Business AssociationSM, is incorporated and headquartered in Austin, Texas, to provide assistance exclusively for the benefit of Texas small businesses in the areas of (1) government contracting, (2) government grants, (3) government certification(s,) (4) legislation / lobbying (5) business financing, (6) international trade, and (7) other business support services. Texas SBASM utilizes the services of the U.S. SBA; the state of Texas; national, regional, and local government agencies; in addition to the infrastructure built by Texas SBASM.


Why does it cost $495?

Registration fees are applied by some government contracting databases / agencies, which the $495 includes. Also included is 1-year on-going administrative support by your dedicated Texas SBASM government contracting and grant specialist who (1) compile the registration documents on your behalf, including certification(s) and your eligibility; (2) guide your business before, during, and after contract and grant application(s) submission(s;) and (3)are available to provide additional fnancial assistance, if needed, so that you may perform your newly awarded government contract(s!)


Are their guarantees in government contracts or grants?

Yes! Registering for government contracts and grants guarantees that your business will be notified of available contracting and grant opportunities that you may choose to pursue. Should you need any assistance in application, your dedicated Texas SBA government contracting and grant specialist is available.


How long does it take to win a government contract or grant?

Contracts and grants are awarded daily! It's possible to be awarded a contract or grant within days from becoming registered and its application submission!


How much money can I win from grants?

Grant awards can be a few thousand dollars through several millions of dollars based upon application. Furthermore, government grant registration is available for both organizations and individuals.


I am my small company, can I still receive government contract(s)?

Yes. Prime and sub-contracts are available. Sub-contracts are small pieces of a large contract (ie. the prime) that is generally awarded to smaller sized companies. In fact, most prime contracts valued over $500,000 are required to solicit sub-contractor assistance.


How will I get paid from the government?

Approximately 50% of all government contracts are paid by credit card. The government will pay you by (1) bank wire, (2) credit card, and / or (3) paper check. For faster service Texas SBASM can factor (purchase) the invoice and bank wire the invoiced amount to your checking account within 72-hours.
